  • A Turkish eVisa with a single entry is offered to citizens of countries whose nationals are only permitted to stay inside the country for a maximum of 30 days.
  • This means that citizens of these countries can only use their electronic visa for Turkey to enter the country once during their whole trip to Turkey.
  • It is possible to obtain a multiple entry eVisa for Turkey if you are a citizen of one of the countries whose citizens are permitted to stay in Turkey for a period of up to 90 days.
  • Those who are in possession of a visa that allows for multiple entries are permitted to reenter the country on several occasions during a period of ninety days.
  • This means that you are permitted to leave and then reenter the country on a number of different occasions within this time frame.

THE VALIDITY OF A TOURIST VISA.

  • If you are a citizen of a country that is not normally eligible to apply for an eVisa to Turkey through the country’s website, you will need to obtain a sticker-type visit visa from the Turkish embassy or consulate that is located closest to you in order to enter the country for the purposes of tourism.

  • In addition, conditional tourist eVisa holders from Afghanistan, Iraq, Zambia, and the Philippines may not enter Turkey through Istanbul Airport with their passports in hand.

These countries’ citizens are allowed a maximum stay of 30 days in Turkey while on a tourist visa (single-entry only). On the other hand, one can only receive a conditional eVisa if all of the following requirements are satisfied:

  • Possess a valid visa or residency permit that is not electronic that was issued by a country that is part of the Schengen Area, Ireland, the United Kingdom, or the United States (except for citizens of Gabon and Zambia and Egyptian citizens who are under 20 or over 45 years old )
  • Arrive in Turkey on one of the following airlines: Onur Air, Pegasus Airlines, or Turkish Airlines.
  • These airlines have all been given approval by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (except for Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Philippines, whileEgyptian citizens may also arrive via EgyptAir)
  • Have a confirmed booking at a hotel and evidence that you have enough money to cover your stay for the full 30 days in Turkey (at least 50 USD per day).

How Long Does the Validity Period for the Electronic Visa for Turkey Last?

  • Keeping in mind that the validity of your Turkey eVisa is not the same as the validity of the eVisa itself is critical.
  • The visa is valid for a total of 180 days, regardless of the length of time that the eVisa is valid for (30 or 90 days) or the number of times that it can be used (single or multiple entries).

  • Nationals of Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain, and Switzerland are the only ones who are allowed to enter Turkey with a passport that has an expiration date that is no more than five years in the past. This is the only exemption to this law.
  • To enter Turkey, German citizens just require a passport that is valid for the duration of their stay, but Bulgarians must ensure that their passport is valid for at least the same amount of time as their trip.
  • National identity cards are allowed in place of passports for nationals of the following countries: Belgium, France; Georgia; Greece; Italy; Liechtenstein; Luxembourg; Malta; Moldova; Netherlands; Northern Cyprus; Portugal; Spain; Switzerland; and Ukraine. The requirement that a passport be valid for at least the minimum amount of time does not apply to tourists from the following countries, who are just required to bring an identity card.
